Biography
Birth | Philip Sheridan Jackson was born on 1 November 1886 in Kansas, United States. |
Note | "Philip Jackson visited Elsie and E. W. Walls after being imprisoned. Philip Jackson as a young man of 17 or 18 years old worked with railroad men. These men decided to scare him. Philip learned about this plot so he obtained a pistol. When they jumped out at him, he shot one of the men who died. Philip was sentenced to one year in prison. This experience ruined his life. Philip resolved never to marry, as he knew that a woman who married an “ex-con” would be shamed. Philip visited Elsie and E.W. Walls just after Philip came out of prison. F. Wesley Walls remembers that Philip’s visit felt scandalous at the time as Philip was an 'ex-con.' Philip became a ranch hand in Wyoming and Nebraska and never married."1 |
Death | He died in 1952 at age ~66 in Newkirk, Kay, Oklahoma, United States. |
